Our chef would gladly make food for your young ones.

Children and young diners can request modification of their choice of food from our menu.

Are the “taxidermy” art pieces real?

All of our “taxidemy” art collection pieces are offcially certified.

Those are lovingly crafted for appreciation of the work it entails and are preserved for the sake  of knowledge, art, and science.

What I imagine a restaurant in (Alice of) Wonderland to look like. The attention to detail is astounding, & the staff so kind. The menu itself is seasonal, which just means you have to go back to try out what’s new. A lovely place to celebrate any occasion. The restaurant turns into a lounge bar / club after 10pm, so the perfect place to stay for a whole night. Food: vegetarian options as well. The nacho’s are delicious - 11/10 The Portobello (pictured) was a culinary experience… truffle foam, portobello mushrooms over a bed of Pearl pasta, topped with stir fried greens and a crunchy cracker. Drinks: We had the watermelon cocktail, but I suggest removing the ginger - unless you’re a fan. We are coming back!

There is no doubt that Pelgrimhuis is one of the city’s most unique and well-thought of restaurants. Locals and tourists alike should definitely not leave Antwerp without experiencing Pelgrimhuis. Yes, it’s an experience! It’s a perfect example of a restaurant that doesn’t need an extensive menu in order to flourish. The menu is curated with heart, paying homage to Antwerp as well as the different origins of the entire crew. We had the 3-course menu and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it took us into a whole experience of luscious and visually appealing dishes. The selection of dishes will take you to unexpected places. And boy, the cocktails are surely one the city’s bests! You can be sure that you’re getting what you’re paying for (or even more)! The place has a vibe that invites you in. The team was very attentive and genuinely friendly (not even in a ‘we-need-customers-so-we-have-to-be-friendly’ type of way). The purposeful creativity of the team is evident as all items (decorative pieces, art displays, etc.) have stories and meaning to them. This certainly adds to the welcoming and warm ambience of the restaurant. I rarely am passionate when giving reviews but this 3-month old corner of heaven in Antwerp surely deserves the praises. They’re just going up from here.

The moment you step into Pelgrimhuis, you know that the owners placed a lot of love and effort into the place—from the concept to interiors to the food/cocktails. It is the opposite of ‘basic’ aesthetically, and it was quite refreshing from most places I’ve been to recently. Our first visit was only for cocktails—they were lovely and carefully crafted. We definitely had more than we planned for and we enjoyed the host sharing with us the story behind their new restaurant. The next day we went for dinner, and the food/service fast and fantastic as well—their desserts are a must try. I hope that when we return to Antwerp they’ve expanded their menu a bit so we can try more dishes from the chef!
